We’re hiring a Front-End AI Engineer to join a specialist innovation team within a global financial institution based in the City of London. In this role, you’ll be at the forefront of AI product development-designing and building secure, high-performance front-end applications that integrate directly with LLMs and GenAI tools.

Description
- Build secure, scalable front-end applications using React, Next.js, TypeScript
- Integrate UI layers with LLM APIs like Azure OpenAI and Gemini (Vertex AI)
- Translate UX/UI designs into responsive, reusable components
- Implement advanced security features: token handling, data masking, audit logging
- Integrate with REST/GraphQL APIs, WebSockets, and backend services
- Deploy to GCP (Firebase, Cloud Run) and Azure App Services using secure CI/CD pipelines
- Collaborate across AI, cloud, and architecture teams to deliver full-stack solutions
- Ensure regulatory compliance (e.g., GDPR, ISO 27001) through secure coding best practices
Profile
- Strong experience building secure, production-ready front-end applications in regulated environments (finance, healthcare, etc.)
- Proficiency with React.js, Next.js, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, and modern UI frameworks like MUI, Tailwind CSS, AG Grid, or similar
- Hands-on experience integrating LLM-powered features into front-end apps, using APIs like Azure OpenAI or Gemini (Vertex AI)
- Skilled in state management using tools like Redux Toolkit, React Query, or Zustand
- Deep understanding of front-end security best practices, including OAuth2, JWT encryption, CSP headers, and OWASP principles
- Experience working with cloud platforms like GCP (Firebase, Cloud Run, IAM) and Azure (App Services, AD authentication)
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, GitHub Actions, Docker, and security tools like Snyk or Dependabot
- Knowledge of monitoring and observability tools such as Google Cloud Operations Suite and Azure Monitor
- Comfortable working in agile, cross-functional teams alongside AI engineers, cloud architects, and product managers
Job Offer
- 6 month contract (initially)
- Competitive daily rate of £700-£900, inside IR35.
- Office based in London (Liverpool Street) – 2/3 days onsite
