Description

  • Support the Service Co-ordinators in providing strong operational management and leadership to the speciality, developing and managing high quality, responsive and efficient services, in line with Business Unit and Trust Strategic direction.
  • To work autonomously to assist with the management of administrative staff within the Plastics speciality team playing a key role in the implementation of non-clinical management arrangements.
  • Liaise closely with Consultants within speciality teams, encouraging the development of team co-ordination/meeting and planning to define strategies for the team.
  • Assist with the management of staff and financial resources to help deliver local and national performance targets, including Patient Access targets and other national standards.
  • Organise and implement waiting list initiatives following Patient Access guidelines and to assist all staff within the team to meet the Trust objectives.

Profile

A successful Deputy Service Co-Ordinator should have:
  • A relevant degree or equivalent qualification in a related field.
  • Experience working within the public sector healthcare industry.
  • Proven skills in operational management and leadership within a team environment.
  • A strong understanding of the healthcare sector and its services.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, dynamic work setting.
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills.

Job Offer
