Head Chef | Up to £47,000
A historic pub in the heart of Blackheath Village is looking for a Head Chef to lead its kitchen. A former 16th-century coaching inn, the venue celebrates British pub tradition with a modern approach, from freshly made pies and bar snacks to elegant dining upstairs.
The menu is rooted in local, seasonal produce with a focus on quality and flavour. Guests come for the atmosphere, stay for the food, and return for the service.
The role
- Lead a small team including a Sous Chef and 2–3 chefs
- Oversee around 80 covers total
- Deliver consistent quality while following specs and allergen standards
- Average weekly turnover around £35k, 30% from food
- You have the freedom to Create monthly specials, showcasing seasonal dishes and have around 40% input on to the overall menu
- Work closely with management to drive standards and development
