Description

The key responsibilities of the Management Accountant include:

  • Prepare and analyse monthly management accounts to support decision-making processes.
  • Oversee budgeting and forecasting activities to ensure financial accuracy and alignment with business objectives.
  • Monitor financial performance and provide insightful reports to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure effective financial planning and resource allocation.
  • Maintain compliance with financial regulations and internal policies.
  • Support the preparation of statutory accounts and liaise with auditors as required.
  • Provide recommendations to improve financial processes and systems.
  • Assist in managing cash flow and controlling costs within the property sector.

Profile

A successful Management Accountant should have:

  • Ideally working towards a recognised accounting qualification or part-qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
  • Strong experience in management accounting and financial reporting.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel skills.
  • Knowledge of the manufacturing industry would be advantageous.
  • Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • The ability to communicate financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
