About you:
Are you a highly skilled and experienced Radiotherapist (Band 6) looking for a locum role?
We are looking for skilled and experienced Radiotherapist (Band 6) to support our client to providing the best therapeutic radiography care within the department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the accurate preparation, planning and delivery of treatment by self.
- Participate as part of the team in the organisation of the radiotherapy work base.
- Guide and encourage patients through all stages of the radiotherapy process with support for both their physical and emotional reactions.
- Be able to operate all equipment safely and efficiently as per manufacturer’s instructions, including local guidelines.
- Meet the regulatory responsibilities defined for an operator as delegated by the Trust under the IR(ME)R regulations.
- Analyse and approve planning images and verification images following designated training and adhere to guidelines.
Essential Qualifications:
We are looking for an experienced Radiotherapist (Band 6) with:
- Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) as a Radiographer.
- At least six months recent NHS experience.
- Must have Right to work in the UK
Desirable Skills:
- Extensive experience and knowledge in advanced techniques, such as IMRT, VMAT, VIBH and IGRT, and will be trained in delivering specialised Radiotherapy techniques such as SABR and SRS/T as part of their role within the department.
