We’re recruiting a Sous Chef to join a high-end events and catering business delivering Michelin-level food across London. This is a unique Sous Chef opportunity where refined VIP dining, large-scale event catering and central production kitchen operations combine with a genuinely professional and flexible working environment. You’ll work across a CPU and multiple venues, helping deliver exceptional food for everything from intimate breakfasts to 2,000-cover premium events.

The offer

  • £40,000 – £45,000 per annum
  • Predominantly Monday to Friday working pattern
  • Standard hours typically 8:00am – 4:00pm
  • 1–2 evening shifts per week during busy periods
  • Weekday overtime given back in lieu
  • Weekend work paid additionally or taken as time off in lieu
  • Flexible, well-managed working pattern around event schedules

The operation & food

  • High-end events and catering business operating from a central production kitchen.
  • All food prepared in the CPU, then transported and finished on-site at venues across London.
  • Michelin-level cooking with a strong focus on premium presentation and execution.
  • Extremely varied operation, from VIP breakfasts for 8 guests to large-scale dinners and events for up to 2,000 covers.
  • Busy event calendar, with peak periods across 2–3 weeks each month.

The role

  • Support the delivery of high-end food production from the central kitchen to multiple external venues.
  • Finish and execute events on-site, ensuring consistency, quality and smooth service.
  • Work across a wide range of event styles including intimate dining, corporate functions and large-scale premium catering.
  • Maintain high culinary standards while adapting to different venues, teams and service demands.
  • Be flexible with working hours and locations, including occasional evenings and weekends.

The ideal Sous Chef

  • Proven Sous Chef experience within events, off-site catering, CPU or multi-site operations.
  • Or a strong fine dining chef with Michelin-level standards looking to move into events.
  • Reliable, consistent and committed to long-term roles.
